Facebook is creating a device that should read a person’s thoughts and translate them into computer programs.
This is reported by BuzzFeed, which published a transcript of the audio from a meeting between Facebook Technical Director Mike Schrepfer and the company’s employees.
It is noted that the company does not aim to “read minds” or collect personal information. According to the idea of Facebook, a special neural sensor should help a person by the power of thoughts to control the software.
However, according to Schrepfer, the implementation of such technology must earn the trust of users. To add, Facebook acquired CTRL-Labs, a startup that creates a neural interface, in 2019.
