Google forcibly embeds video calls in mail on Android

Google began aggressively integrating Google Meet video calling with Gmail for Android email. Google started implementing the innovation among a small group of users from the end of July, and now the implementation has started for a wide audience. The innovation is automatically installed and many users were dissatisfied with such self-disgust on the part of Google.

The introduction of Meet is described as annoying and annoying. The “redundant” switching panel between Meet and Gmail takes up valuable screen space that could be occupied by mail.

You can get rid of this innovation. In the side-menu you need to go to the bottom of the “Settings” section, then select the desired account and in the appearing menu find the “Meet” section – there’s a “tick” for the “extra” tab, tab displaying can be easily disabled.
