Insider: iPhone 12 mini is in the least demand

Reputable analyst and insider Ming Chi-Kuo published a report in which he spoke about the current and promising sales of the latest Apple iPhone 12 series smartphones, as well as other devices of the company. The expert noted that users have little interest in the most compact iPhone 12 mini, but it does not affect total sales. According to Ming Chi-Kuo, despite lower demand for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, sales are offset by increased customer interest in the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. He noted that such dynamics will continue until the second half of 2021.

The analyst also said that demand for the new iPad Air exceeded initial forecasts, and information about Apple’s plans to release a tablet with a mini LED display and support for fifth-generation networks will further increase sales of this series of devices. Along with smartphones and tablets, smart watches Apple Watch Series 6 and Watch SE are in great demand, as well as the latest computers and laptops based on the Apple Silicon M1 platform. At the same time, the supply of AirPods is expected to decrease slightly by 5% – 10%. There are several reasons for this: the limited amount of components, Apple’s choice as a priority product of the iPhone 12 and the company’s expectations to sell a sufficient number of accessories due to the lack of a complete headset in the new line of smartphones. According to Ming Chi-Kuo, Apple continues to work on new headphones AirPods 3, but their release may be postponed to the second half of 2021.
