outh Korea has created a “sea job” to clear mines

Daeyang Electric Co. handed over a dozen autonomous underwater mine detectors to the South Korean Navy.

The device itself, which hasmarine robotfunctions, searches for, identifies and neutralizes, thanks to the attachment of explosives, mines found underwater.

The underwater drone can operate in strong currents and stay under water for a long time.

The Navy noted that they will use the device, in particular for cleaning of waters near ports and beaches.

As Ukrinform reported, the British company UAVTEK developed together with BAE Systems a drone called Bug (mosquito), which is now being tested by the British army.
