Recipe of the day: how to make the most delicious apple pie

Fragrant and warm homemade apple pie creates that very autumn mood. We tell you how to make an unusual and very tasty apple pie with apples and meringue in your kitchen.

Apples are the main characters in the kitchen in autumn. Fresh apples make sweet juice and delicious filling for pies of all kinds. And you can also eat apples just by dipping crispy slices in peanut paste.

No one will be surprised in autumn by the charlotte. What if you try to make an apple pie in a new way – with cinnamon and tender vanilla meringue, which melts in your mouth? Such a dessert is not only incredibly tasty, but also healthy: apples are rich in fiber, which is responsible for a healthy digestion, vitamin C and antioxidants, and meringue – protein, which is necessary to maintain muscle mass. A piece of pie has enough carbohydrates to recharge your strength and give you a sense of satiety. Dessert can be eaten after workout or during a break in the office.

 

Apple pie with merengue

Spicy autumn dessert for those who are tired of the usual charlotte.

Ingredients

For sand dough

 

Eggs (yolk) 3 pcs.

Sugar 30 г

Butter (creamy) 90 г

Sugar (vanilla) 10 г

Salt 1 pinch

Flour 130 г

Opener 1/2 pp.

For apple filling

Apple (uncleaned) 1.2 kg

Lemon (zest) 1 pcs.

Sugar 30–40 г

Cinnamon 1 pinch

 

For meringues

Eggs (white) 3 pcs.

Lemon (juice) 1 tsp.

Salt 1 pinch

Sugar (vanilla) 10 г

Sugar 50 г

Preparation process

    Whisk the yolks with butter, two kinds of sugar and salt. Vanilla sugar will break the egg flavor.

    Mix the flour with the opener and add to the egg mixture.

    Mix the dough. Put the resulting ball in a bowl, cover it with a towel and put it in the fridge.

    Clean the apples from the skin and seeds. Grind in a blender (until small pieces are formed) or rub on a grater.

    Add the zest, sugar and cinnamon.

    Place the apple mass in the pot and cook for 15-20 minutes. The liquid should evaporate.

    Take out the dough and put it in a round shape with a diameter of 20-22 cm. Distribute it according to the shape, making edges.

    From the top lay out the apple puree and put the pie baked in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.

    Whisk the squirrels with a pinch of salt and lemon juice until foam.

    Gradually pour ordinary and vanilla sugar, continuously beating with a mixer or a blender whisk until the peaks are formed (it will take about 10 minutes).

    Take the cake out of the oven. Put the whipped squirrels on top of it and send it to the oven for another 25-30 minutes.

    When the meringue becomes rouge, take the pie out of the oven and let it cool down. Only then take it out of the meringue.
