The consequences of malnutrition

The consequences of poor nutrition

The general condition of our organism depends on the quality of nutrition. Almost everyone has heard that “wrong” food – fast food, fatty, fried – causes excess body weight. But such a diet actually has far more health consequences than it seems at first sight. In addition, it is important not only to eat quality food, but also to keep to a certain schedule so that we receive nutrients all day long.

Signs of improper nutrition

The main indicator of whether you eat right is your usual diet. If there is a lot of fried, smoked, salty, semi-finished and sweets, over time you will find high cholesterol levels and the first signs of obesity. In addition, cereals, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products must be present in your daily menu. If they are not present, something must be changed.

There are also a few other signs that indicate an improper diet:

    Potable drinking – you drink little water (less than 1.5-2 liters), but constantly eat soda, coffee, sweet drinks.

    Frequent overeating – you can not resist another piece of delicious or regularly get up from a table with a full stomach.

    No meal schedule – you miss lunch or breakfast all the time, instead eating a snack on the go.

Reasons for poor nutrition

The causes of such unhealthy eating habits can be several. Constant rush, stress, irregular work schedules, etc. But most often, the wrong diet is laid in childhood. We borrow eating habits from parents, and as we get older we don’t even think about how useful the menu is at all. There are other reasons:

    Psychological dependence on harmful foods.

    The inability to analyze and adjust their diet.

    Inattention to our own health and body.

    The desire to save on food, to buy what is cheaper.

How poor nutrition affects the body

Contrary to popular belief, overweight is not the worst consequence of poor nutrition. If our body does not receive the necessary standards of nutrients, vitamins, trace elements, it is deplorable effect on health: there are diseases of the heart and blood vessels, gastrointestinal tract, endocrine system, etc.

Alarming symptoms that your diet needs to be adjusted:

    constant fatigue, lack of strength;

    concentration, attention, memory disorders;

    dull hair, brittle and thin nails;

    joint problems, clicks or squeaking with no inflammation;

    frequent stool problems.

All this can be observed even in people who take vitamins and various supplements. Vitamin complexes are no substitute for a healthy, varied diet that contains complex carbohydrates, fiber, proteins and saturated fats.

How to avoid the effects of poor nutrition

If you do not change your menu, chronic diseases will become your constant companions. To avoid undesirable results of poor diet, you should adjust your diet as follows:

    Make the most of your food. Every day you should eat at least some nuts, fresh fruits, vegetables, eat dairy products, fish.

    Refuse fried food – replace it with recipes for multivarka or oven.

    Try to eat products fresh or cook them “al-dente”.

    Drink enough liquid, replace coffee and soda with green tea and regular water.

    Eat in small portions, but regularly every 3-3.5 hours.

If you make these recommendations your habits, you will notice how your craving for unhealthy foods will go away. The body will become full of strength and energy, and the problems of excess weight will no longer haunt you.
