UK sets new world internet speed record

In London, engineers at University College London set a new record for data transfer rates of 178 terabits per second. We would like to remind you that in 2019 Ukraine got into the top five countries, whose citizens access to the global network through mobile operators is the cheapest.

According to the LADbible resource, this way users have the opportunity to download the entire Netflix video library in less than a second.

It is noteworthy that the previous record172 terabit per secondwas set only in April 2020. Its authors are specialists of the Japanese National Institute of Communication Technologies.

However, University College London notes that the method they applied is unique, because it can be integrated into the current telecommunications infrastructure with minimal updates.
