Microsoft abandoned support for Windows XP in April 2014. But many people have continued to use this OS for a long time. But over time, the percentage of users who remained on Windows XP decreased. It is currently less than 1% of market share.
This means that most computers now use other versions of the OS, ie much newer ones. According to data for August 2020, the share of Windows XP was only 1.26%. As of December, it fell to 1%. And although this is still a large number of devices, we can assume that the percentage of usage of Windows XP is very small.
Microsoft claims that using Windows XP is dangerous now. This operating system has not received security updates from Microsoft for a long time, and is therefore vulnerable to various hacker attacks.
